The classic smokey eye never goes out of style and suits everyone. Then, sweep the brush in soft, broad strokes across your lid at the places where the different shades of eyeshadows meet. It also makes my eyeshadow last longer, and it doesn't smudge as much. Clean your eyeshadow brush with makeup brush cleaner, face wash, or shampoo and water.

Line your upper lashline while holding the pencil as close to the lashline as possible. When you're doing a smokey eye, make sure you use a concealer for your under eye circles to avoid raccoon-eyes. For even more color dimension, lightly dust an orange eyeshadow to the inner corner of your lower lash line and olive green to the top lash line.

Using a black liquid eyeliner, do a simple winged line on your upper lashline. Fill in the remaining area with a rose-gold eyeshadow. Now take your eyeshadow brush and dip it into your most beloved shade of blush. Work from that into a sexy smokey eyes with darker tones.

You should choose three shades of each color: a light, creamy color; a medium base color; and a dark, smoky color. With an angled brush, create a wing on your upper lashline using brown eyeshadow and define the lower lashline using the same. Apply this to the entire eyelid up until the crease.

Blend your colors. Move to the lower lashes and apply the black pencil all along the lash line not forgetting the inner waterline too. Start by covering your upper eyelid with a nude shadow. If you're looking for palette combinations, go for sunset tones in pinks and purples or yellow and orange that will look great on brown eyes.

The two shades of green should now be blended into a uniform color. They traditionally include three different shades of eyeshadow: a dark, medium, and light shade. Using a black eyeliner pencil, gently define your upper and lower lash line creating a subtle wing.

Use your flat brush to classic brown eyeshadow smudge the liner on your lower lashline to create the smokey effect. With an angled brush, blend out the product on your lower lashline till it looks soft and blended. Using a plum shade such as MAC Eye Shadow Sketch , add in some drama and definition to your peepers. I'm using a flat blending brush and just pushing the color into my eyelid, and gently blending it over toward the middle of my eye from the corner.

Next, using a dark green color, fill in the lower half of your eyelid. Smokey eyes are one of the most popular and trendy current makeup looks. Apply the deep cobalt color all over the eyelid but stop right underneath the crease. If you want more of a warm, brown smokey eyes, which would look incredible on those with lighter eyes such as blues and greens, then opt for warm, rustier shades of browns which are red or orange based.

Curl your lashes and apply two coats of mascara. Now fill in the eyelid with gold-colored eye shadow, extending the color into the cat eye shape on the outer corner. Using your eyeshadow brush, dab it on the inside corner of your eyelid on both your upper and lower lids.

With a flat brush, use gold eyeshadow for the center. Repeat the process using black eyeshadow and start at the outer corner. Apply a warm brown eyeshadow on the outer corner of your lid while leaving the center bare. Start by blending the lightest colors. Wiggle the brush between your lashes to help separate and define them.

Use your smaller ended brush and blend into the outer corners of the eye and use a few swipes over your crease in order to blend the colors together. Still using the same kohl pencil, color in the eyelid area you just stenciled. If you add eyeliner on your bottom lashes, only bring it as far in as the dark color goes on your lower lashes.
